Welcome to my Blog

Hello and Welcome to my Blog I am so glad you found me. Here you will find a mixture of cards made from digital sheets purchased from the Craftsuprint website, cards made from rubber stamps and other bits and pieces. I got into cardmaking a few years ago by going to a class, then I got the bug. The thing I really like about crafting is that you are constantly learning so you never get bored. Please feel free to follow my Blog and you are most welcome to leave a comment.

R.I.P Cousin Wayne!

This is a photo of my wonderful cousin Wayne

Unfortunately Wayne died recently he had been sick for a long time and sadly he was only 44 years old and definitely gone far too soon. He was so lovely and kind and very caring, his nature was just wonderful, he seemed to always know the right thing to say or do naturally. I miss him dearly and loved him very much, my only regret is that I never saw enough of him, we had regular texts and sometimes phone conversations, he was just so selfless. He left behind his wonderful partner Jayne and his son Regan. He was also like a brother to my younger brother Andrew and once I found out he was the first person I rang as I knew it would hit him very hard. Wayne you were a gentleman and a gentle man. I hope you can see this post and be happy that I am adding you to my blog, I love you Wayne and you will be missed always.

Paris Model

I made this card for one of my regular customers for her Daughter's upcoming 40th birthday. The only thing I have not photographed is the age and the card sentiment she asked for. The sheet I used to made this card was designed by Sharon Poore you can view her work - here

I have created my own background using a red inkpad and random stamping the card using a  Stampin' Up swirly roller. I used 4 different card stocks to frame the image and I decoupaged some of the elements.

I Love You!

Hi Everybody, I hope your Valentine's Day has been going well, I am having a chilled day relaxing and eating all things naughty - lol....
I thought I would share with you the card I made for my Hubby and I was so pleased he liked it.

I made up an 8" x 8" card blank using two pieces of white A4 card attaching them together and trimmed down to size, I covered it with a Hunkydory swirly black/gold card. I embossed a piece of red card stock and attached to the card base. then used black mirri card to cut out a die 3 times and wrapped ribbon around the centre of the card and cut out the 'I Love You' sentiment twice in gold and once in black and off-set them slightly to add more definition to the centre of the card. To finish the card I added lots of red gems and the diamond sections running through the centre of the card are the waste from the die which I stuck back into the card using sticky pads.

Items used
Hunkydory - Black/Gold card stock
Sue Wilson (Creative Expressions) - Bevelled Glass Striplet Die
Sue Wilson (Creative Expressions) - Checkboard Embossing folder
Tonic Studios - Just Because - Sentiment Die

Vanity Fayre

Hi Everybody, I just thought I would share with you a card I made yesterday called vanity fayre. The digital sheet I used as the main element of the card is designed by Susan Donaghie you can see more of her work HERE

This  7"x10" card blank started off as a plain white canvas, I started off by random stamping a 'Stampin' Up' swirl roller using 'black Adirondack' ink pad then I set to work on the main card base. I matted a piece of red holographic card and black card that I embossed using  'Sue Wilson's Checker Board embossing folder' then on to the card base, next I decoupaged the rose using pinflair 3D glue then I cut out a pretty Spellbinders die and cut it in half and attached to either side of the greeting. To finish I added a bow and a 'Creative Expressions' metal embellishment which encases the red dazzling gem.
