Welcome to my Blog

Hello and Welcome to my Blog I am so glad you found me. Here you will find a mixture of cards made from digital sheets purchased from the Craftsuprint website, cards made from rubber stamps and other bits and pieces. I got into cardmaking a few years ago by going to a class, then I got the bug. The thing I really like about crafting is that you are constantly learning so you never get bored. Please feel free to follow my Blog and you are most welcome to leave a comment.

Masque - Ice Blue & Amethyst

I made this card for my youngest Step-Daughter for her Birthday. She is a huge fan of blues and turquoise colours. I chose this image mainly because it compliments her arty nature, she loves to paint and sketch in her spare time. The sheet I used has been designed by Anne Lever you can view her designs here.

To make this card I started off by using a white scalloped edged c5 card blank as my base, then after printing out the sheet onto glossy photo paper, I cut out all the pieces and matted the main image onto a gorgeous toning shade of holographic card and trimmed to create a fine border around the image. I mounted onto the card blank using double sided tape. I shaped the rest of the pieces to add interest to the design and I decoupaged all the pieces using pinflair glue gel to give it height plus as the gel takes at least an hour to set you get time to maneuver the pieces into shape without spoiling your work.(I generally leave it overnight to dry) To finish off I added some iridescent gems.
